 The presentation of these shoes by shoe designer Jan Jansen deserves extra credit for padding with colored foamed PVC sheets to suggest the foot with ankle.

A German special

 When you see this you know you are in Berlin. Around 1961 developed as a pedestrian light by a traffic expert from the GDR ( Karl Peglau) . When the GDR went into Germany and they wanted to replace all the pedestrian lights by the usual types in western Germany there was such a commotion that they decided to continue using these "Ampelmann" figures. Two ideas from Studio Reuse

Studio Reuse was an artist collective in Rotterdam where they sold their designs in a joint store. Unfortunately that store was closed in 2016.

Recycle center

Returning some excess electronics to our local Upcycle centre, I saw some workshops at the bottom of the building that can be used under certain conditions to recycle products from the landfill. In the picture above Naomi Neijssen from SEEFD with one of her recycled products.

And the way they make old jackets presentable again with eco-friendly paint.

It is a hopeful sign that youth takes recycling serious and makes something from what is for others just waste.

 I asked the girl if she had made the coat herself and if I could take a picture. The answer okay but it was just ordered by computer in London. This is the sign of the name in the title and I find that name very good chosen. One for Signs 2 here.
