One weekend holiday in England

The reason was that this weekend we were going to visit the parents of our son-in-law according to an old agreement and this was the only weekend that everyone could do.
On our way from Dronfield to Bakewell
Also empty stores there
and home of the famous Bakewell tart. ( A bit to sweet for me)
Of course a lot of opportunities for hip shots. For more photo's see also biebkriebels blog.
One for Our World Tuesday here.

Mathematical Bridge

The Mathematical Bridge is connecting two parts of Queens' College over the river Came in Cambridge. First build in 1749 by James Essex and designed by William Etheridge it was rebuild in 1866 and 1905. Since it consist only from straight pieces of wood but looks like a curve the name Mathematical came in use despite its original name Wooden Bridge.

The fence near the front of the Royal Crescent

The Royal Cresent in Bath England is known for it 30 terraced houses build between 1767 and 1774 by John Wood the Younger. The green in front has a fierce fence. If this was always the case I don't know but it looks pretty old. I visited this on a holiday in 2010.

View without rain

Now half of England and Scotland seams to disappear in water and for a lot of people give a bad Christmas I hope the weather will soon be better as here 2 summers ago , looking at Edinburgh from Arthurs seat. An old vulcano with an height of 250 m . We were aspecting rain then but it was fabulous weather.  I wish everyone still a happy Christmas and that the troubles may be over quick.
I dedicate this picture to mellow yellow monday here.

Very angry sheep

This fence near the border of england and scotland looks like a bunch of angry sheep came through. The new one in front of it doesn't look so pretty as the old one. One for friday fences here.
