V.Gogh's Sky

 At the v Gogh and the Stedelijk Museum, there is now an exhibition of a journey Anselm Kiefer made in the footsteps of v. Gogh for whom he had a vehement admiration as the conclusion of his art training entitled “Sag mir wo die blumen sind.” Here his interpretation of Starry Night. It was overwhelming and very cleverly made. One for Skywatch Friday here.

Rembrandt

 That they painted the statue of Rembrandt gold is already so-so to me but that name in front of it is more than life-size and that makes it completely a fair. Only good for a reflection when it rains. Here the promotion team of the municipality of Amsterdam has completely missed the mark in my eyes. One for Weekend Street/Reflections here.

Straat Museum

 Just one to give a quick impression of what it looks like inside. Coincidentally, fellow blogger Bertiebo had the same idea today with showing her impressions from last week.

Also a nice cafe-terrace to oversee a lot.

 it is really worth taking a lap around the street museum as well.

Even the outside is full of murals and there is always someone working. I asked him if he also had work hanging inside but no. That was only for free artists by invitation and he was not a free artist but someone who made murals mainly on commission. It was a nice conversation.

Street art

 This mural "my Death Dream" by Cix Mugre is on display at our highly recommended street museum in Amsterdam. Together with the header which is also an exterior corner of the same building, the whole thing does have a dizzying colorfulness. One for Sami's Colourful World here.

Everything for the Floriade

 On the Town Hall is a mural created by the famous London street artist Fanakapan. Throughout Almere, children can go on a scavenger hunt for all sorts of things to do with the Floriade and this is also part of it as well as many giant insects scattered throughout the city. Shapeshifters

 Under this name there is an exhibition in Almere that is actually a kind of street art. This fantastic 3D mural was created by the Portuguese artist Odeith and consists of the letters of his name and really just painted in the flat using 2 planes and a panel on the ground for shadow.
