Floating Christmas Tree

 Last night a lovely Christmas dinner at our daughter's house in Weesp and afterwards went to see if they had the floating Christmas tree again this year and yes. It all looked beautiful again.

If only that goes well

 With all those candles burning today.

Is again the time of lights and baubles.

Weesp in Christmas mood

 Yesterday after Christmas lunch by my daughter and husband on the way to my car.

They too deserve a Christmas dinner today.

 Just one more from the town hall of Weesp. Still adorned with Christmas lights. Impossible photo's in film day's now just a point and shoot. A loss for the professional photographers but gain for the amateurs.

Christmas preparations

Some neighbors are already quite busy with the Christmas lights for this year. A novelty is the projection of falling snowflakes on the facade. How all this should fall in the context of the energy savings is not quite clear to me yet. One for Our World Tuesday here.

Christmas tree

The big Christmas tree on the Dam square. The decoration is very sober this year, but yes, the municipality of Amsterdam has so many expenses that it will probably not be able to cope with them anymore. I think it would be better if they had it just let standing in the wood.

I think I prefer this.

Tree collectors.

The neighbor kids are busy collecting discarded Christmas trees. For every tree they return they receive 50 cents from the city council. Has now made their mother objected because she can't enter her home anymore and all trees are equally banished to the garden which is a whole lot bigger. One for Our World Tuesday here.

Book heaven

The same bookshop as in Biebs post of today has in its window created a book heaven to reach with a staircase. A sure sign what they think you have to buy for a christmas present. One for signs, signs here.
