Christmas preparations

Some neighbors are already quite busy with the Christmas lights for this year. A novelty is the projection of falling snowflakes on the facade. How all this should fall in the context of the energy savings is not quite clear to me yet. One for Our World Tuesday here.

  1. People have a desire to break up the Covid-19 monotony of gloomy nights with Christmas lights. People are doing it earlier and we're expecting the lights to stay up longer.

  2. So many more houses have the outside of their houses festooned with lights this year. Maybe it is an antidote to living with Covid.

  3. The lights cheer people up a bit. I try to turn mine on a bit later in the evening and not for as long as normal.
