Since the weather is nice anyway

The weather's nice, so it's time for a backlit shot on Warmoesstraat. Right now, I'm trying to pick out a photo for my blog, but for some inexplicable reason, the computer is showing me a completely different one. That's another thing I need to figure out, grr grrr grrrr.

The daily routine

Beautiful weather today.

 

It had been a very long time since I had last seen this in Amsterdam.

Climate change

 The fence of our neighbor 2 gardens to the left and that under the smoke of Amsterdam. Times that we had snow on these days are since long gone.

And when the weather is so nice

You can sit comfortably on the terrace of Café De Jaren, built on stilts on the corner of Amstel and Kloveniersburgwal. (Header: if there's one thing that characterizes Amsterdam, it's the tourists who have lost their way.)

Rainy

 

Had gone to a big flea market along the Y on Sunday with nice weather when suddenly, out of nowhere, a tremendous downpour erupted. Luckily I had a waterproof camera with me only I myself had no coat or umbrella . On the last picture you see my standing place to avoid the wet weather. After about 20 minutes it was over and I could continue my way.

Remembering

 Today 20 years ago we stood for this museum in Bilbao from Frank Gehry. Quite an experience. (Header the market square in Almere town and  because we get a week with temperatures above 30° C I am trying to keep a cool head by looking at this photo.)

Saturday walk

It is definitely time for it at the beginning of spring but today 5 degrees colder and rain.
