This house was the first inhabited house in Almere 50 years ago.
Efforts were made to establish a museum house as a memorial to this event, and here we see the initiator, Ans van Berkum, and the mayor, Hein van der Loo, in the house during yesterday's official opening.
A great deal of attention has been paid to the interior design from 1975/1976.
I was also invited to the opening because at the time I was working for architect Joop van Stigt, who had designed these homes and I had drawn up all the plans.
It was a nice reunion.
And on this wall in the living room, there are some old drawings I made and some photos of Joop v Stigt and, to my surprise, one of myself, but that one was only four weeks old... of work 50 years ago.
(Header yes, the holidays are coming up again.)

Congratulations! You did the plans. It must have been a really nice event.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHow nice that you were there for the event. It all looks so 70s - in a good way.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood memories.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat piece of history, both for the city and for you.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's great, Greetings. Beautiful photos.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenEen en al herkenning wat betreft het interieur. Heel bijzonder!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFifty years ago does not seem all that long ago. I remember the 1970s well, but then I'm an old geezer.
