Sky watch via the rigging of the B.A.P “Union”. With a length of 99.04 m and a mast height of 46.45 m, this sailing four-masted ship of the Peruvian navy is the largest of the sailing ships present as a sail training ship. With a crew of 150, it trains 80 midshipmen. One for Skywatch Friday here.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI have always been fascinated by the rigging of the tall ships, so I think these photos are terrific. The B.A.P. Union is impressive, but I don't think I would like to be climbing that rigging. The Spanish galleon looks like something out of an Errol Flynn movie.
