Stood what earlier was called a black tulip. How it got there is a complete mystery to me since there was no other tulip anywhere in the area (no garden), but someone must have put the bulb in the ground. You don't see these that often.
A short walk from my tree there used to be a long gone farm house. The people that lived and worked there planted some flowers that I see every Spring.
i once bought some tukips in amsterdam called "black parrot"..... they weren't VERY black they were a sort of dark purple(?)..... that one is a beauty though
