In front of the central station in amsterdam for some time there was this bike shed to curb the chaos of parked bikes at the station. (See the header). Now that finally the gigantic bicycle shed under the water surface is finished, it goes away. I don't know when yet, but this construction without a single bicycle looks very strange.
The number of bicycles is mind boggling. I remember that the station even had an escalator for bikes to and from the shed!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour header photo is amazing. I have no idea how one would find or move a bicycle from this chaos. An orderly bike shed is obviously needed, so why is it not being used? I know there is a story here.
