 The unveiling of yet another new facade in Almere shows that new varieties are still being found to make a masonry facade a little more interesting without more expensive interventions involving staggered sections in the masonry. However, it does not disguise the fact that the new buildings are becoming more and more like shoeboxes with mainly graphic jokes in the flat plane avoiding the really interesting shapes.
