One of the very rare places where a fence runs along the canals here on the Herengracht. Must say the bike path is in a very unusual place as well. ( The header is a repair yard for old fishing boats in Spakenburg.)
I noticed that cars are on one side of the canal and bikes are on the other side of the canal. The path looks very bumpy. It must be fairly cool there because the bike rider has a tan raincoat on. Perhaps it even has lining in the raincoat to keep her warm.
Safety wise, you'd think a fence would be the rule and not the exception.
