Everyone knows Harry's Beck map of the London Underground. When the decision was made to build a free bus lane in Almere for public transport, a map had to be made as well. The designer, unknown to me, had of course looked at the great example and thought, if I leave out all the straight lines and only work in circles and arcs, I can achieve the same effect. To make the origin clear, the bus line was immediately called Metro, which I think is really something else. Above is the result. One for Signs2 here.

If I was the driver, I think I would get lost for sure. ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenDoes not look any worse than our underground one and better than some of the bus ones we have
BeantwoordenVerwijderenQuite neat! Would be a maze in Mumbai :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is a little confusing.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks a bit confusing for me, but very artistic for sure :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks very confusing.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis bus map looks like modern art. I assume it is clear to locals how to use the map to navigate the city.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCool.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you for sharing another version of a transport map!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat could be the design for one hell of a roller coaster.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA fabulous map. The visitor is certainly a little surprised.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGosh it kind of looks like a rabbit warren.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery clever. I love the underground map which makes travelling around London so easy as well as being a work of art.
