This year we had children asking for candy on 11-11 on the door again (last year not because of the lockdown). First they had to sing a song about St Maarten from which the orginal text is dissappeared over time so everyone interprets that in their own way. Remarkable one of the girls about 7 (not on this photo) asked if we had also gluten free candy. Yes times are changing indeed.
The number of attendants far exceeded the number of children.
A new one to me.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenUna extraordinaria noche, en la que los niños se divierten, siguiendo la tradición.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTraditions are fun.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI didn't know of this tradition.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou were right about the columns by the door in yesterday's post. It was all added later. The whole building has been tarted up which was sad to see.
What a great tradition involving children, lanterns, song, and candy. I was unaware of this celebration, but it makes good sense that the children were accompanied by their family. Hope everyone was safe from the pandemic.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI didn't know of this tradition either but the kids look like they enjoyed it.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNice of them to sing, we had a few kids Halloween night too, they were all so polite and cute.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNever tried gluten-free candy!
