Although we don't see much art nouveau in Amsterdam there are still some traces here and there like here on the Haarlemmerdijk. This one is for Sami's Colorful World here.
I googled that building and found a post about its history, which is fascinating. The Art Nouveau decoration was installed in 2012, using the Mucha image that's so recognizable in your photo. That was unexpected!

Always enjoyed Art Nouveau design, and it looks great on this building. How odd we should have the same garbage cans. They are designed to be picked up by a truck, so the city provided them to all addresses. Thanks for your comment this morning.
It adds a pleasing touch.

A beautiful art nouveau building. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery nice. The young lady has a good view of the street.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is such a lovely style!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat's a nice addition to the facade.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI guess that's because art nouveau pre- or post-dates Amsterdam architecture?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's a really GREAT example of Art Nouveau, too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSuch a neat one! :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo pretty s.c. looks a little Art Deco 💙
