Its a kind of tomato sauce with lots of ground cumin for the real hungarian taste and the pepers stuffed with spicey mincemeat. Learned it from my mother long ago who was born in Vienna.
That's a great idea! I like eastern European stuffed peppers like yours and also the Turkish/Middle Eastern varieties with currants and pine nuts in the filling.
