Seesaw flour mill "'t Haantje" from 1820
and flour mill "de Vriendschap" rebuild in 1900 after the previous mill burned down in 1899. It is still in use and on Saturday you can buy bread baked with the flour from this mill on the spot. Behind this mill stands another one "de Eendracht" a malt mill from 1691 looking the same as this one but rebuild as saw mill. One for Our World Tuesday here.
...gorgeous sights, iconic views!

BeantwoordenVerwijderenGaaf! Die blauwe lucht erbij.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful old mills. In the past few decades we have rediscovered the value of wind power, but your culture has always known its value and taken advantage of it.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow those are incredible maintenance works. I've passed by Netherlands only at the airport so haven't seen the famous windmills. But i've seen an old one and 2 new mills at Svalov, Sweden
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSo very picturesque!
