Now we have a very nice retrospective of Vivian Maier's photo's in our splendid Foam photo museum. She surely was a self portrait reflection champion.
Some of her self-portraits reflected in the museum. Her photo's are splendid captures and it is a pity that she didn't get the praise she deserved by life.
After seeing so much beautiful pictures you are of course inspired to try it yourself but I admit she did it better. What a great legacy she left behind and lucky for us it isn't disappeared thanks to John Maloof, the discoverer of her treasure. One for weekend reflections here.
Is that woman chuckling to herself behind you? :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWe saw a documentary of this amazing yet very strange woman. Gifted, talented and a real loner. What a find and remarkable preservation. Also saw an exhibit of some of her photos.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting reflection on reflective photography. I like all the details of your surrounds which you have captured in your own, the details which often mean far more to us in a few years time.
