Underground station

The entrance of the Rotterdam train and metro station Blaak just for the new Markt Hall.
One for Good Fences here.
The roof of the entrance. The station is located entirely underground. In the back the Kubus apartments and the tower of Piet Blom. The station contains 4 platforms for the trains and 3 for the metro. The metro lines started in 1982 and the trains in 1993 .

    Wow! That's quite an entrance. I'm not sure I understand why the handrails were painted red.

    What a grand entrance! Love how big and welcoming it is. Good for a station that has to handle lots of people.

    I love the red railings in the first photo against the largely grey back ground. The colour is super and the the path pulls me right into the photo.
