Thanks for your comment back at my place. That old building used to contain a metalworks. Its in Crown Heights, which until recently was a dangerous place at night. Now it's increasingly gentrified like everywhere else. But a grand building
You assume they were looking for books. Never know what treasures one might find in a dumpster. Hard to believe people would throw out books. They can always be given away.
