On invitation by a neighbour I went to a stock car race. Something I have never experimented before.
It is not without its dangers as showing here a car after a 360 spin that could not start anymore and had the danger of a collision. Look at the left front wheel.
But with a lot of assistants a car is in no time ready for another round. It was a nice experience for me.
Looks like a pretty entertaining show to watch.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenNever knew what is it but surely interesting!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenlooks like fun
BeantwoordenVerwijderenStock car racing is really quite fun. I like the D.I.Y. aspect of the sport. I used to watch it as a child in UK. Great action photos and especially the 360 spin shot.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks like a lot of fun, great action shots and nice colorful subjects.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAlso not to be pedantic (I seem to say that a lot, especially when I'm actually being pedantic) but at least over here, "stock" cars were originally slightly modified versions of cars that you could buy off the sales lot yourself - of course over time these cars became more and more modified to the point that they only vaguely resemble normal cars at all, but that's the idea. These look more like buggies...
Mike... In UK, stock car racing is the same as the ones shown in these pictures. Although I must admit that I don't understand why we call them 'stock' cars at all. The US idea of 'stock car' racing does make more sense.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA rush of excitement!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Bill, that doesn't surprise me, words have a way of mutating when they migrate from place to place.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI'd like to watch stock car racing!
