The month before new years eve you see this kind of market stalls everywhere in the Netherlands, here on the Neude in Utrecht. They sell so called oliebollen ( link to wikipedia ) a tasty dough ball mixed with raisins and covered in powdered sugar. Around 1600 the balls where given to the poor so in winter they had something nice in their stomach.
That stall looks very inviting. Don't eat too many!
