Oliebollen

The month before new years eve you see this kind of market stalls everywhere in the Netherlands, here on the Neude in Utrecht. They sell so called oliebollen ( link to wikipedia ) a tasty dough ball mixed with raisins and covered in powdered sugar. Around 1600 the balls where given to the poor so in winter they had something nice in their stomach.
