Because it creates such a nice effect, especially in the dark.

Gnomes

 Some people just see the world a little differently. I found these gnomes at a Rolling Kitchen Festival a few years ago. (Header Amsterdam street after a rain shower. Always nice for a photo.)

Building a new shed roof

 I didn't have to go far for this one. My neighbors still had the original polyester roof on their shed and were replacing it with the help of some friends. It took a little longer than they had expected, so they have to get back to work on it.( Header a photo from the Waag December 2010 )

Street photography composition

 Since I’m spending a lot of time at home these days, I’ve been drawing inspiration from the countless street photos I’ve taken over the years, and I have to say that many of them are a surprise to me all over again. Shot on the Dam square 12 years ago.

Last week, the city decided it was time once again to bring in some 3D artists to liven up the streets a bit.
