Tempus fugit

In the eighties I was project architect of the new Palace of Justice in Amsterdam. For me it was a good 6 years work and now it is torn down again as seen here from the same train trip past Friday.

  1. Demolishing a build that is only a few decades old does not make sense to me. I am guessing that some investor has plans to make some money.

  6. That's too bad it wasn't given much of a life. Three decades is not that long. Must be sad for you to see that.

  10. Only 30 years of use. That is often the life of a sports stadium here.
