Since Bieb scanned a lot of photo's and the scanner was still on the computer I thought lets see if I also can find something old. Since I was fifteen I developed and printed my own films and photo's and decided to look if there where negatives that I hadn't print in those days because I found them uninteresting. Here a portion of the old city of Amsterdam which is completely demolished in 1968 to make way for the Metro and the new town hall. In the back you can see the tower of the Zuiderkerk still standing today. ( 6x6 negative shot in 1967)
Here the river Amstel. All the housing behind the bridge (Blauwbrug) at the left edge are completely gone as the kind of boats you still see here. The bridge itself is also changed in construction and color. The cranes in the back on the right were busy with making a very difficult road construction called the mr. visser square and completely out of scale in the city at that moment. (also 6x6 shot in 1967 at the age of 22).
Ah...that is most interesting.
