An old ad for a store with stoves, bath tubes, water heaters and household items but chiseled out of sandstone. The shop is past away a long time ago but the sign still remains. One for monday murals here.
So, SC - Kelen = Stove or Kiln? Just thought of asking you, instead of asking Google. Lovely way to remember the past and I hope they leave the chiseled signage alone. Have a Beautiful Day! Peace :)
Sorry I now see the the i is missing in art kelen what must be the word artikelen of articles so it not so for eternity as I thought. But a great try from your side.
Wow! The art proved more enduring the business. That's a switch!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like this. It's catchy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat an amazing sign, it should last forever. Tom The Backroads Traveller

Dutch for stove or kiln is kachel or fornuis. Here they say gasornamenten and that means something that works on town gas.

VerwijderenI think it will be there for a long time!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is a cool looking sign even if I can't read it. Don't see many signs chiseled out of stone.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI do like this font a lot! It makes the words stand out.
