Was this weekend on an excursion with a ranger in the Oostvaardersplassen. Normally this natural area is not accessible to the public, but sometimes there are excursions that are already fully booked months in advance. Thanks to the staff association of biebs former employer we got this opportunity.
She also has a posting about this excursion today that you can find here .
The most excursions are always held against sunset when the animals are most active.
These heck cattle are the only ones who are not allowed on places were normally also humans have access to.
Sometimes the bulls will attack
When the sun comes through you can imagine the african savanne.
It was a very successful excursion although a little colder then I thought.

5 opmerkingen:

  1. Not sure that wild one in your last photo, s.c., is totally native to the area. :-)

  2. Really beautiful images. Lovely animals.
    And the sunset is great.

  3. How wonderful to see these animals in person! It does feel like you are somewhere far away. :)

  4. I love the top picture. Pithy minimalism.
