If there was a scene like this here in the States it would be all about the Mississippi River flooding.

With so much water and rain around do the buildings and mouldy feel damp inside?
No Karen.Nowadays there are perfect solutions to prevent this. Under water with coatings and in the dry parts also with good ventilation.
