Van Eyck on the pavement

In the Witte de with street leading to Rotterdams museum area you can find stickers of paintings from van Eyck on the pavement.
It is an advertising for museum Boijmans to watch the van Eyck exhibition and also shows the direction. A pity that the exhibition is just ended but the ads will remain for some more time. It was a habit first experienced in Roman time to put ads on the pavement ( they chiseled their message in the pavement stone).

  1. oh, I first thought someone sat there and drew these!
nice that they took the time to center them on the tiles, haha.

Apologies for the deleted comments. I mistook your blog and blogger went a little wild as a result!

  2. Oh what a great way to advertise the exhibit! I'll bet it was fun trying to find them all.
