These signs are hanging in the hall of our big Amsterdam department store the Bijenkorf.
It took me a very long time to decipher the message beside the Chinese language. But if this is progress, I doubt it. More the confusion of today I think. One for signs, signs here.
The word could mean Work in Progress, under Construction or perhaps In Progress, if you are in Beijing or especially Shanghai it is even worst of what is associated with Progress. And everything becomes very superficial.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks for your explanation Wong. It make a kind of understanding here.
VerwijderenSo am I to understand that not only do most of our goods come from China but now our promotional messages come from China also? And that folks is progress.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGood one John.
VerwijderenVooruitgang waarin, of waarmee? Dat is me nog niet duidelijk.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAlmost impossible to figure out. How odd!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat sign is making me go cross eyed!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWell, it's certainly bright and colorful.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI can make out some letters next to the Chinese, but can't read the whole word. Perhaps it is digital computer code? Interesting sign.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt becomes an art impression rather than a sign with a message. Lost in translation?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt reminds me of the old dot matrix font which I always found hard to read.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou will learn soon as possible the Chinese language..
BeantwoordenVerwijderengood shot, I wonder what it says
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI guess the Chinese and the English mean the same thing... Work in Progress? Though I don't read Chinese... :)
