In earlier days window washers used ladders to reach their workplace. Now forbidden.
With their telescopic wipers they still can reach the highest windows to clean. Because you have to look up I dedicate this one also to Skywatch Friday here.
They're used here as well for the first three levels of a building. Anything beyond that, they're using lifts either raising them up or lowering them down from a roof.
Very interesting and ingenious.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenArticulated, I guess, so that you can get that troublesome bottom edge. :-)

BeantwoordenVerwijderenI see them on ladders here. You can't use any ladders?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVeiligheid eerst.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting that ladders are forbidden. Probably too many accidents. I think doing that job would give me a stiff neck!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is interesting that no ladders are allowed. I think I would get neck cramps.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA smaller version would be helpful for our exterior windows....must see if I can find one.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThat is the longest window washing pole I have ever seen. Wow, don't know how they manage to get windows clean using this tool.
