Yesterday we visited Rotterdam because they celebrated the fact that the rebuilding of the city after the bombardment in WWII is 75 years ago with as you can see a stair with 180 steps to the roof floor of the "Groot handelsgebouw" The first big building build in 1953 after the war by architect Frits Pot (in collaborating with Hugh Maaskant) after visiting Chicago's Merchandise Market. The sight from above over the city is really phenomenal.
Because it is Monday here the facade of the former Station Post office near the "Groot handelsgebouw"with an artwork from Louis van Roode . For more murals you can also go to Monday murals here.
Good Lord, what a staircase!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHorrible number of stairs, and almost vertical. An impressive sight.
BeantwoordenVerwijderennow, that's something special!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGoing up would be okay for me. Coming down is another story. Hard on the knees.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThere is also a lift. ;-)
VerwijderenAmazing, Great pics.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI did De Trap! :D
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWow, those steps are cool, and I love that second shot of the building and artwork.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenDid you have the energy to climb all those 180 steps?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI love this! And those stairs!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI couldn't tell if the stairway shot was a mural or not. Then I realized it was your second photo. I really like the building's decoration but cling to the idea that the first photo is really a two-dimensional representation. I think the meme is getting to me. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe stairway to the roof top grabs the attention - unique!
