Expensive

Never knew we had signs in the pavement (Dam Square) made of marble for something normal as indicating the bus lane. When I think about it never saw a bus there or it must be one packed with tourists. I wonder how long it lasts. One for sign, signs here.

  1. I can't help you with the mystery of the bus... but I do like the cobblestone.

  2. I guess it would be difficult to paint a sign on cobblestones but it has to be labor intensive to inlay letters like that. I see the expense.

  3. However, this material is stronger than the painted sign.
    Nice sign.

  4. Moet het geen tram zijn i.p.v. de bus?

  5. Reminds me of Greece where even the curbs are made of marble, it's such a common commodity in that country.

  6. We are getting more and more of these signs on the pavement for bicycle lanes...

  7. These "BUS" signs show up here in traffic lanes reserved just for buses. But the texture of our streets are not brick like yours. Good find.

  8. I guess cobblestones provide a bit of a challenge for signs. However, I don't understand why a bus sign should be in the middle of what appear to be tram tracks. An interesting one.
