A mural from the time that labor still costs nothing. Made by Gregorius Cool from sandstone it shows the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. Always a fine reminder in the netherlands when you pass this gate in Gouda. One for monday murals here.
You still can find a plaquette on the schreiers tower in amsterdam that in 1609 Henry Hudson departed from that point in amsterdam on his expedition to America.
