There are always exceptions.

A nice sample of early graffiti by Aaron (Sharp) Goodstone around 1983 from the Museum of the City of New York now on an exhibition in Amsterdam. One for sign, signs here.

  3. Did not realize that the Museum collected graffiti. There is some great graffiti, but much of it is just a mess.

  4. I don't see how that's art...but anyway.

  5. I remember those signs from NYC subway train yards and the commuter railroad lines. Kids didn't pay any attention to them if we thought no one was looking.

  6. Funny. I sometimes think of responses to official signs that I think are funny or witty and fantasize about defacing them, but I wouldn't actually do it :-)
