New kid on the block

Every time one, in the eyes of my camera shop, interesting camera appears I will be invited to an introduction by the supplier. In this case, the new Leica SL. (Yes thats me)

Of course all other products of this firm were there for trying.
Now do I have some experience by photographing with leica products but I wonder what to do in the time that camera's are going smaller and lighter with a really big one and only zoomlens for the time being with the size of a big canon L lens zoom. Also the price is gone to real astronomical heights. Around €7000.- for the body and €4350.- for the lens. I hoped it would be a leica Q with interchangeable lenses but no.

  1. New cameras invite exploration. They are magnets for anyone interested in photography.

  3. I cannot even imagine how much all of these cameras are worth. So expensive...and so big and heavy. I cannot no longer handle even the zoom lens on my Canon. It will send my back into spasms. Very depressing. Love your hat. We have a local photographer that wears a hat like that all the time, but it is not cloth...but rather sort of wicker. I rally cannot describe the material.

  4. You're in dangerous territory here. You might want to leave your credit cards at home!!

  5. Leicas are as necessary for a photographer as a Roll Royce for a driver. You can get the job done perfectly well for a cost suitable for mere mortals.
