Painted boat.

If the children tried not so hard to push the boat forward (?) you could better see the mural on it. Spotted yesterday on the Amstel river in Amsterdam. One for monday murals here.

  2. What a neat looking boat, I can not imagine why they would be trying to push the boat like that? Wishing you a happy day and new week ahead!

  4. I've never seen that the boat is pushed when you are in a boat. Did the extra boost :) Very funny shot.

  5. Interesting mural painted on the boat, but it doesn't have much free board. A small wave could sink it. Hope there are life preservers amid all that stuff.

    1. Until very recent every child at the primary school between 6 and 8 had to learn swimming in the Netherlands. It was just a part of the regular lessons and mandatory.

    2. In the 1950s and 60s the Red Cross had swimming lessons for every child in the U.S., but they no longer have that program, and many children, especially poor children, never learn to swim. It could be life saving, but is also great fun. It is a necessary life skill.

  6. What a find. The idea of a mural on a little boat is unusual. Very colorful. Those kids are really pushing.

  7. Riding a bit low in the water, isn't it?
