I saw this cylinder head in a barn where fragments of crashed aircraft from WWII were shown. It was two cylinders of a Pegasus Bristol motor used in a fokker T-V850. For me it looked like it was just escaped from the set for Star Wars and didn't look happy. One for Our World Tuesday here.
Never knew you were a Star Wars fan S.C. Now I like you even more. ;)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt looks alive! Very, very cool!

Maybe just a hint of a smile at the corner of his mouth? :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYour right, looks straight out of Starwars, wonder what the rest of the plane looked like
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAn excellent example of found art.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVery interesting how so many manufactured products can take on a human-like quality - seems to be our nature to seek patterns, recognize faces, and generally project ourselves onto/into the world around us.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis looks like Star Wars to me too or a gargoyle. I can see how it would inspire an artist and architect’s imagination. :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGrumpy face - very good observation.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWhat a great find!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHa! Leuk.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenMaybe a bit of oil would make it happy. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenTake 25 to Hollister
Looks like a cross between a steampunk monster and Oscar the Grouch.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenCool photo and even better humor!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWay to go, SC!!
Have a Beautiful Day!!
Peace :)
This aircraft engine comes from a plane that looks similar to the American B-25. The condition of the head indicates this came from the crash of this plane. This was a sad period in history when so many people died. At first I thought this might be a motorcycle engine head, but no.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh my goodness! It looks like a mask!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGrumpy indeed :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh, I like this mask !
