Architecture trip to Copenhagen(6)

This artwork from Bjørn Nørgaard, lay just near our hotel Bella Sky and is called lovers isle. A concrete bridge leads you to the island itself, and in the middle there is a granite pillar ornamented with female bodies over which water constantly flows down. Around the column, there are four pavilions with roofs of colored glass. The dramatic sky made the situation more intense so I dedicate this one to skywatch friday here.

  1. Looks like it might be a little too buggy for me with all that standing water about. :-)

  6. Very cool. I'd have to walk across and sit under the pavilion.

  9. It smacks of Brutalism. Not at all romantic to me.

  10. I'm not sure I like this piece. It looks quite phallic.
But I do like the dramatic sky as a backdrop.
