The city theater in Almere designed by Saana, a japanese architecture buro also known for their museum for contemporary art on the Bowery NY.
They are for the absolute minimum in using of color or materials.
I assume that the red table downstairs is not their idea.
And the only color you can find is this mural in the foyer from the japanese artist Micheal lin.

Love the interiors, but especially that first shot and the blue tones.

Very nice find, SC! The big flower pots outside are pretty, as is the interior of the building. I particularly like the spiral staircase. It is good when you don't have to move stuff using the stairs :)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHave a Beautiful Day!
Peace :)
Stunning!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful theater. Both, outside (I can see the reflections :) and inside.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYep, I agree, the red table needs to go. :-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe mural pops against the starkness. Tom The Backroads Traveller
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLove the staircase. Reminds me a lot of Gehry's work at the AGO in Toronto.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWel een gebouw dat eruit 'springt'.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGorgeous mural, and I love how high up it goes.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWonderful mural and building!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeautiful blues in the first shot, nice collection all the way.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFascinating. This reminds me of batik fabric. I bet it was a BIG decision on who to commission for the only splash of color and texture. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
