Londonderry

One of the many murals in Northern Ireland. The hero of the Protestants the dutch prince William III who was stadholder over the 7 dutch provinces in 1672 and became in the end king over England, Scotland and Ireland with his wife Mary II. One for Monday murals here.

    Very commanding mural. Given local politics, I'm surprised it hasn't been tagged or attacked in other ways. William and Mary is associated here with a fine college in Virginia. Thanks, sc, for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
