Automatic adoption of contrast ?

Sunlight falling through a 17th century window in the Portuguese Synagog Amsterdam.
Its a pity that blogger makes the picture lighter so that the original dark, light contrast is a bit blown away. On my original the white of the wall was not showing. Tried different solutions but until now without succes.

  1. I love this photo SC! the window is amazing and your capture of light and contrast is stunning. Your difficulty with blogger is most likely their auto enhance feature which messes with light and contrast. You can turn off the auto enhance if you are prepared to join Google + and find the right setting to adjust (so I believe).

  2. Just letting you know that I have personally NOT tried the using the instructions in the link that I posted in my previous comment. It really bugs me when I click on a comment on my blog and the link takes me back to the owners Google+ account rather than the Blogger account. I turned my Google+ account off when I realized it was happening on comments that I was leaving. It's difficult to complain to Google when they are giving me an absolutely free blog.

  5. Without seeing your original image and I can not compare, I will say that this is a very beautiful image with light.

  6. UPDATE: After months of struggling with blogger's auto enhance and not wanting to join Google+ I've just discovered that blogger doesn't "enhance" png files. Just use png files instead of jpg and all seems perfect. Will post about it later today. I'm very excited to have found this out.

Because of some annoying messages I have to check the posts sent to my blog. No anonymous remarks, sorry for that.
