The storm harvest of yesterday.

A father with his children picks up some wood splinters from the trees that where blown to the ground just minutes ago before their home.

Strange enough the planned leaf blowers of the government were still at work by wind force 10. A bit overdue I think.

Its of course the fire department that has to do the big cleaning as here the removal of an already split tree.

We had to say good bye to a lot of trees, especially along the dike but lucky for us the material damage was not so big as expected. Hope we don't get this experience to often.

  1. That is terrible, but I can see it might become an issue in our future, with the strange weather.

  2. Terrible experience. We had the same thing happen here last spring.

  3. Saw a photo elsewhere online where two trees side by side in Netherlands went over together and peeled the grass up like a wave as if it was a carpet. The flea market is north of the San Francisco Bay so it is a bit cooler than southern California. Quite a bit if you ask me.
