Modern hieroglyphs

Coming from the metro near the Waterlooplein you find in the tunnel behind the exit Nieuwe Herengracht this mural from Martijn Engelbrecht . It's a modern story told on an old way and I guess that only the artist know's what is written but you can do an educated guess. One for monday murals here.

  1. ah that's interesting. You can try to decipher the code while standing and waiting.
I like that the art is sort of quiet.
    Happy Monday, SC!

  2. I guess you are right--only the artist would know of which he writes.

Regarding you question : Anacortes, Wa. is a waterfront town with many murals telling of it's history and that is just one of many. I posted one last Monday also.

    Thanks for the visit. MB

  3. Oh you cut off the last panel! I can't see how the story ended.

  4. It's a mystery to me but I do notice that some of the glyphs can be found on your computer. I went to Martijn's website and got lost all over again. For sure he has a unique mind. And I bet the symbols engage folks who are waiting for their train. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
