The fence near the front of the Royal Crescent

The Royal Cresent in Bath England is known for it 30 terraced houses build between 1767 and 1774 by John Wood the Younger. The green in front has a fierce fence. If this was always the case I don't know but it looks pretty old. I visited this on a holiday in 2010.
One for friday fences here.

  1. A sight we're familiar with from the Jane Austen tim Persuasion, although I'd never noticed the fence before.

  3. It looks like a fence designed, by its sharp points, to keep people off the grass!

  4. I was there that same year in the summer! Blast it, though! I lost most of my photographs due to a botched data transfer. Oh well. Makes me appreciate the photos others have taken all the more. :-)

  9. Great photo of classic English architecture. Bath is actually one of my favourite cities in England. You have captured the gentle curve forms well.

  10. A great photo. You have captured the Crescent perfectly. Pity the ambience is marred by cars and the fence.
