Lots of kids must have learned to climb in this tree. On some places the bark looks like polished wood here in the sarphatipark in amsterdam old south. The area was once a workers district and build as such between the 2 world wars. Today the most is taken over by yups . A few years ago the whole park was renovated and now it is nearly unrecognizable . (I lived 35 years back at the corner).
At the end of the cobblestone path you see the climbing tree. Regrettably no climbing kids.
You brought back memories of my tree climbing days from when I was a kid. The tree in your photo looks like it has been around for a long time.
