New museum

The Eye Filminstitute Netherlands is a since 4 april a new museum in town. Here seen from the backside. The design is from the Viennese architects Delugan Meissl and is influenced by Zaha Hadid at the look of it.

Even the doorhandles are in shape so to see. ( Hewi serie nr 120)
Its nice that in these economic harsh times such a building is still possible but the architects where not at the official opening and that can mean only one thing. Money problems.

Its like the Sydney Opera house . The architect Jørn Utzon was kicked out of the country before the building was ready because it was much to expensive in the eye's of the client but it put Sydney on the map.
