bicycle repair shop

From the same museum as yesterday a bicycle repair shop from around 1930. The coat protector on the bike is typical for "Staphorst" a very religious community in the Dutch bible belt.

  1. This museum looks like there is lots of detail to explore. Bicycles is one item that as survived the test of time. In Canada they are most popular in the big cities but not to the extent that they seem to be in Europe.

  2. Makes me feel a little nostalgic, not that I actually want to go back to earlier times, but there's something appealing about the illusion of a simpler life...

  3. Your country holds the bicycle very close to its heart. This is a wonderful golden age image. All those tools are so interesting.

Mike... I would love to go back to a simpler life. As long as I had a trade... and a camera... and a library nearby. LOL
